As long as temperatures are consistent in the -5C range and the ice hasn't been exposed to creeks, springs, marshes, sunshine or extreme cold forming pressure cracks then it will be uniform and reasonably predictable. Specific strength of your ice would need to be certified by an engineer.I measure the ice about 9 inches thick, my JD 4720 with the tracks weight 3 tons + do you think it's safe ??
Ice is only safe for use in drinks. Everything else is your own risk to decide.
