Pulled the new to me 322d with Olathe 82 seeder into the shop for its initial service. Will change fluids, filters, belts, and adjust everything. Looks to be in good shape. This is my first two wheel drive, so learning a bit about that difference.

Discovered today that my model 82 seeder can also be used as a powered dethatcher. I attached the manual link, hopefully it works.

Briefly looked at the seeder yesterday. A few of the seed drop tubes were clogged with dirt, and it looks like someone welded the seed flow adjustment handle in place, so it is no longer adjustable. Will see if I can fix that.

Wanted to post some pics of often overlooked lubrication points on the pto system. None of these areas have a zerk fitting, but do require lube or they will wear out. A rattle can type lube with a long straw works best for me. What I use is white lithium, but may try a motorcycle chain lubricant next as it is sticky and will stay put.

Finally got to use the 82 seeder today. The 322 was in really good shape. Did a full full fluid and filter change, needed one new tire, a few bushings for the pto fork, and a new roller for the neutral detent. Thing is a beast.

The seeder needed a new roller chain, lots of rusted pivots freed up, a general grease job, and all the seed tubes cleaned out.





Has a seed adjustment flow handle, and a depth adjustment on the front wheel.



Inside of the seed hopper. There is a rotating agitator inside that dispenses the seed, but only when the coulters are on the ground and rotating underneath.

Did a test on the asphalt with the flow handle set at 5. It gives a nice even disbursement, but was a bit heavy, so I dropped the handle down to 4.



The business end. The front tines are pto driven and dethatch, or scarify the soil depending how deep the front wheel adjustment is set. The second row of coulters roll across the ground covering the seed as they go. They are attached to a single shaft and drive the agitation mechanisms in the hopper via a chain and sprocket. The seed tubes discharge seed right next to the coulters. The back side of the coulters have a wiping arm to keep dirt from building up on them.

Was very impressed with the seeder. I put down 50 lbs of seed today on various parts of the property. Looking forward to using it again in the Spring.

Having trouble with thevwater punp on my Toro 223D Groundsmaster. Model 30223. Serial. Before 69999. I ordered pump number 67-4380. It shows the same water pump for all the serial numbers.
The hub on the pump is the same size as the pulley 3.25 O.D. I have. So the pulley will not fit over top as it is supposed to. It shows all pulley numbers to be 67-4360.

How do I find out the measurements on pulley 67-4360?

I bought this about year 2000. Things May have been swapped out before I got it
