I am no less satisfied with my DX24E (twin to the TZ24) than my neighbor's BX22 (except my machine isn't too good in the backhoe department /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif). Yes, there are limits to the FEL, but that little machine impresses me and others that see me working it with it's abilities for its size.
However, I may be having a problem with my PTO, as last summer, it was easily able to power through dirt down to 6" with my 50" Landpride tiller, but since an incident last fall where the tiller stopped dead in some extremely hard packed clay dirt at only 3" down, it doesn't seem to have the same power to run the tiller that it once did. Until I can do a side by side (maybe this weekend) with my neighbor's BX22 running the same tiller in the same patch of dirt, I won't know for sure. But I do believe some sort of internal damage was done (maybe to the PTO clutches), that is affecting the PTO hp output. When I questioned the tiller size on my tractor, my dealer said he's sold a bunch of BX's with the same exact 50" tiller, with no complaints yet. Like I said, the first few uses, I was very impressed with the ease the tiller cut through the dirt, but I think that the combination of hard pack, attempted bite depth, and ground speed was a bit too much for it.
