The move to pivot pin ticks me off. We've been preaching bucket center for years and they caved in.

I would be very supprised if your friend does not end up with multiple 3pt attachments to use for various things as time goes by. If he does and did not get the Position Control option and telescoping arms he will regret it.

I am currently in the throws of upgrading my BX22 to a larger B and I find that I am in a toss up between a B2920 and B3200 (taking in consideration in price and capability). Kubota does a fantastic job offering the extensive line that they do which allow us to easily be nudged one or two levels up (or down).

For years I have wanted more ground clearance and more power and although I know the B2x20 would surely fit the bill very well but I dont want to be kicking myself after the first 100 hours that I should have spent the extra $$$ and upgraded to the large B. In fact from the initial numbers I have seen there is not a huge price differential between the mid size 2x20 and 3200 (which is interesting as I think the 3200 offers a lot more tractor for its incremental cost). So (for me anyhow) to jump to a B3030 would be encroaching a bit more into my budget then I would like.

I think we get into that comfort factor and enough is enough even if it is at the expense of position control or telescopic arms although I am sure the arms can be added to the 3200 at a later time.

I am waiting to be able to see a B3200 up close and preferably along side a B2x20.

If anyone has any pics of the 3200 please share!

I don't have pics of the B3200, but I too moved up from a subcompact the size of the BX.

In my comparison shopping, I was able to see a B2920 and B3030 (essentially the same size as the B3200). I decided that, for me, the B2920 was not a big enough step up, size-wise, from my subcompact, and that the B7800 or B3030 was going to be a better size and make more sense in moving up.

Here are a couple of side-by-side pics that should give you an idea of how the 2920 would stack up to the 3200:

Unless you live at higher altitudes like Bandit does, I'm not sure I would go to the B2920. I have a B2620, and find that it has plenty of hp for that size tractor. My most hp demanding application is my 4"x6" chipper, and it handles that just fine. I would move directly from the B2620 to the B3200. Both tractors have a lower limit stop that can be set for rotary cutter use, etc., and though I would still "like" position control that works well for things like the RC, middlebusters, etc.

Awe, come on guys, you can never have TOO MUCH horsepower! :D

Bandit great pics thanks that helps a lot. When I look at the specs (on paper anyhow) the 3030 doesnt look that much larger - when you compared them did you feel that between the two the 3030 was "much larger" or it was more that that it "felt" larger?

As I said I am looking to "size upgrade" from my BX for more HP, ground clearance and future capability and want to be sure I dont undersize myself.

I initially thought going to a 2920 made me feel as though I was on the upper end of that series but I can now understand from the comments here that for "the 2x20 size tractors" the 2620's horsepower (for the most part) offers the best value for that line. If this is case then I can now see the B3200 price point at a much larger differential where it could influence a customers decision between the two models. I guess offering a 2920 is Kubota's way of touching every price point in the market.

I stopped by a local dealer recently and took a few pictures of a 2920 and BX24 next to one another. In my estimation - if the rear tires were taken off of the 2920 it would look (in size) very very close to the BX. I am not overly sure why Kubota is also using a 49 inch bucket on the 2x20 (although I hear it holds ~30% more). The buckets seemed very similar to me.

Decision, decisions.
