Anybody have Both...Treadle pedal AND a Twin pedal

I have the two pedal and get to use a treadle. The treadle REALLY hurts my knee. Yhe JD setup has a bit of a learning curve (learning NOT to hit the wrong one) But before you know it, it's second nature

I guess I'd have to try both too. I know one thing, my pickup has the trans shifter on the column, but when I get in my wife's car which has a console mounted shift, I always (at least for the first couple of shifts) grab the wiper/washer instead! I can also remember borrowing a friend's BSA motorcycle (right foot shift) when my Yamaha was not running at the time.
It takes some adjustment starting out with different equipment.

I have 4 Import Pick ups. 2 Dodge D 50s a Toyota and a Nissan With Automatic Transmissions .
3 of them have the shiftter on the column.
The 1986 that I drive all the time has the shifter on the floor console.

I've done the wiper/washer thing too.

i have the treadle pedal and i am so used to it now i don;t even think about it. I LIKE IT, but it did take me a few times to get used to it, i was used to the old ford with clutch on the left and brakes on the right. right after i got the B2400 i stared to get a little to close to the house dumping some dirt. so i mashed down on the brake only it was the forward pedal /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif got a lot closer to the house than i wanted, a few peice of siding need to be replaced /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif+ the bride keeps reminding me of it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

LOL, I have owned several BSA's and Sportsters that had right-foot gear shifts. For a real hoot, you ought to see my riding friends when I give them one of my Indians to try - left-hand throttle, right-hand spark advance, right-hand shift, and left-foot clutch.

I find that my size 9 boots work best with the treadle design, using heel on deck, toe on pedal for forward and toe on deck, heel on pedal for reverse. Maybe if I had size 13 boots I could have my foot on both sides of the pedal at the same time. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Maybe in the future the manufacturers will feature bloat tractors just like they've done with cars & pickups with silly add-ons like power pedals! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Sorry to let you down! I am only 42, and I really can't figure out why my knee doesn't like it. I saw another poster say the two pedal design bugged his ankle. I guess, operators need to watch out for whatever might give them grief. But, most will not have problem with either. I never considered the treadle would bother me, but when I used it after getting my green machine, My poor knee just howled. (or was that just a Kioti? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )
I hear guys put their foot on the floorboards, and hook the pedal; I need to try that....

The problem with heel on floor, it is such an angle that my ankle gets sore pretty quick...John
