Any issues with Amsoil diesel oil in my new bota 7500? Want to make sure I don't disolve the seals or anything.....

Thanks

Amsoil users? How about air filters? Hydrolic oil?

Nope, except for the price. I know several of our members are using it, and while I never used their motor oil, I did run the Amsoil hydraulic oil in my B2710. So there's no problem if that's what you want to use. Personally, I don't think it's worth the price unless you're in a very very cold climate, but there's lots of folks who disagree with me on that, and maybe they know more than I.

Amsoil probably is a little pricey for the casual tractor user. However, for the commercial guys, it is extremely cost effective.
Also, when you consider the cost of a new tractor, good oil is cheap insurance.

I used the 15w40 diesel and marine full synthetic in my 3010.
Will probably run a premium dino oil in my 3130 such as Chevron Delo 400, Kendall Super D, or Shell rotella in a 15w40. Their air filter isn't better than anyone elses and I use Super UDT in the hydraulics. I believe Amsoil makes a good product, it isn't cost effective for most of our uses.

Re: Anybody using Amsoid diesel oil in kubota?

The only vehicle I use Amsoil in is my Thundercat. That's pure synthetic and about $35.00 per gallon. I use 15-40 Delvac in everything else. I always change my oil at or before the prescribed intervals as clean oil is cheap insurance. I'd consider running a synthetic like Amsoil if I were to extend my drain intervals. I'm against that. I believe that oil gets contaminated with the by-products of combustion and should be changed regularly. The Amsoil is tooooo expensive for that. Go to Murrays, get Rotella or Delvac and change it often.

As far as hydraulic oil, I'd use the Kubota UDT, that's what I use in my 5030 and I farm with it. The head mechanic at the dealer that I deal with told me that the only difference other than price between UDT and Super UDT was the flow characteristics at low temperatures. The Super has a lower initial viscosity as opposed to UDT. However, the Super also has a super price. An interesting note is that he also told me that Valvoline makes the UDT oils for Kubota.

Using Amsoil 15w-40 in the BX22. Stays cleaner WAY longer the Kubota oil. The price is not much more either.

Re: Anybody using Amsoid diesel oil in kubota?

The guy I bought my RV from runs amsoil in everything he owns. He has a contracting company and basically comes into a wooded area and clears the trees so the builders can come in and put up houses. He said that his commercial equipment takes a real beating and after seeing the change amsoil made in the equipment, he decided to use it in all his machines.

I will continue to run amsoil in the RV and more than likely convert to it on my pickup and tractor. Basically the vehicles/equipment that are worked the hardest probably would benefit the most.

In the end--if I spend extra on preventive stuff like oil it does not cost me much money relative to a major repair that could have been prevented.

Not in a Kubota, but I just switched to Amsoil engine oil in my TC25D at 150 hours.

Re: Anybody using Amsoid diesel oil in kubota?

For $15 you can become a "preferred customer" and get the same discounts as a dealer. Still doesn't get much off. I looked into becoming a dealer, but there's not enough margin to make it worthwhile. They want you to play the Amway pyramid game to make money - not for me. As stated their products are top notch, but expensive. I have a '95 Chrysler with 187K on it now. I change the Amsoil oil and filter at 12K intervals and add two quarts between changes. Still passes emissions with flying colors. For the tractor, I will use synthetic, but not theirs. Probably use the Shell Rotella Synthetic from Wal-Mart. The tractor just won't see enough hours to make it pay to use Amsoil.

"Using Amsoil 15w-40 in the BX22. Stays cleaner WAY longer the Kubota oil."

That is not necessarily a good thing. An oil gets dirty not so much because it is crummy, but because that is part of its funtion. It is responsible for cleaning in the engine among other things. Thus the detergent package. I used Amsoil in a Kubota L4850. The primary reason was for the cold morning starts. Maybe it helped, there was just no way to honestly tell. It got dirty just like the Delo 15W40 it previously received. Thats a good thing.
