Anyone add a side step to their Yanmar?

Check out the factory side step on this ym240 from 1976.

Is that a step or a lawn chair for passengers? It seems to have a back that extends up almost touching the tire.

Looking in the background it looks like very flat level ground, a side step like that would last very long on my tractor, in some of the terrain I travel, although would have use for that fishing pole,

I have one already on mine its a simple loop of 1/2" rod comes down off the bottom of the step. It works perfect even in the wet and will never get hit by anything I am likely to drive over. Id recommend that style step to anyone wanting to add one its strong and simple cant ask for more.
