"Here's some pix of the lift linkage I broke"

Ouch,by chance is there another piece which could be welded on until arm arrives.

It was at the dealer Monday afternoon. I just haven't had a chance to go pick it up yet. Hope to do that tomorrow. I was wrong on the price too. Only $64. Seems I broke the right piece. I ordered the pin and related parts also. It came with the bolt in it. I assume because the spread made it too wide for using the right parts.

Picked up the parts tonight. I'm not wure why, but I expected them to already be painted. Not. Guess I have some painting to do.

Mine did. After work, I went and picked up the beef we are keeping for ourselves from the butcher. When she got home, she asked why I wasn't cooking steaks from the beef I just brought home.

Figured I would clear out the blackberries in the area behind my Dad's. It has rained a lot here lately. Apparently a lot more than I realized. As soon as I got to the area my front wheels dropped down into the soft ground. I was dragging the boxblade with some material in it. So I lifted that up and thought I could drive on out. WRONG! I tried backing out and pushing myself with the FEL. All I did was bury the front wheels down to the axle. I even locked up the rear differential. Just buried the back some more. The tire lugs are caked with mud. So I am going to have to go dig out for and aft of the wheels to make some rocking room. I will try to get some pictures.

As much as I want to play on the tractor, the ground here in the PNW is soaked. I feel the lawn tractor making ruts in the ground. I'll wait till the end of this week before I get ambitious, I don't want to spend a day digging myself out...:D

I was working on the tractor today and did something really really dumb. The lower end of the left lift arm has been bent and spread since I bought the tractor. Today I pulled it off and decided to take a 3# sledge and tap the bend out of it. First hit with the hammer broke the end off of it. The lower end forms an inverted "Y" shape which spans either side of the lower lift arm for the 3PH. It was one side of this "Y" which broke off. I couldn't believe it. I was going to get pictures and totally spaced taking them. I was headed to the dealer any way so I priced and ordered a new piece. $85. Quite a bit less than I was expecting. The upper section of the lift arm has the retaining weld for the ball worn away so I priced that as well. $165. I decided that piece can wait for a while. Might see if a friend of mine can weld a new retaining weld onto it.

Well you're a better man than me. I pull dumb stunts on a regular basis and then try not to speak of them again... LoL

After getting my tractor stuck the other day i went out a few days later and spent 2 hours digging out the tires. All four of the tire holes were full of water. I couldn't get the bucket to lift the tractor enough to stuff much under the tires. I did get rocks and wood under the tires a bit. Started it up and just dug in deeper. Said bag this and called a tow truck. Tow truck got stuck trying to get close to me. Winched himself up to a tree and then pulled me out. Then he got stuck two more times so I had to use my tractor and truck as an anchor for him to winch himself out. 14,000 tow truck. Cost me $200. He said he had fun on this job.
This was way back in the woods at my Dad's place. Right front tire was buried to the top of the tire when I started. The bottom end of the tractor was buried in the mud as well. All in all a fun day playing on the tractor. Washed it all off and good as new.
