Anyone else seeing signs of an early winter?

A couple weeks ago, a black walnut in town started dropping some fully-matured walnuts.

two weeks ago, the orb weavers started up.

last week on YouTube, someone about 40 miles away posted that their “persimmon seed reading” says early and frigid winter.

today, while out walking about, I have seen multiple sycamores, maples, butternut and black walnuts with leaves turning yellow.

We are in western North Carolina at about 2200’ elevation.
I'm in WNC as well and seen some black walnuts on the ground here. Though the grass has not slowed yet I'm hoping for an early frost here in Yancey Co. The frost flowers have not bloomed yet. Keeping my eye on them but I don't think they are 100% right. About 2 years ago it was Nov. before the first frost.

early or late it will come ... guess all you want maybe you will be right maybe you will be wrong...

Leaves on my apple tree are turning brown and that doesn't usually happen until Oct, but that is due to the drought conditions, not necessarily an early winter. Early or late, the geese will tell me. I'm hoping for late. It is supposed to be warmer than average this year, or at least that's the guess. Warmer means more snow. If it's earlier and warmer it will mean more days of moving snow.

The only signs here is me getting ready.
I always pre plan for cold weather and it gets cold and snowy up here every winter. All 3 propane tanks are at 85% with another 500 gallons pre bought plus I laid in 6 ton of processed wood pellets this spring and I'm currently picking up off grade seed corn to mix in with the pellets. We heat our farm house with a bio mass stove and have for decades plus I've started heating the shop with one as well. The propane is for really cold, windy days when the biomass stove cannot maintain the heat load in the house. Wife and I like it toasty in the winter but toasty at a reasonable cost.

We've had trees dropping yellowing leaves but I put that down to how dry it's been.

And while I can understand how someone in BC might want an "endless summer" I'd prefer spring, a short cool summer and then fall.
.....same here.(y)

Locust leaves are half off. Even my maple is starting to turn and dropping some. Dry weather does it.

We have had decent rainfall, no drought in our neck of the woods.

probably because I have been restaining our porches, and I washed and waxed the vehicles for the first time in a year…
