Anyone ever "delete" the dpf on a tractor?

If the factory warranty was expired I wouldn't hesitate if I was having problems and I would keep my mouth shut and no one would be the wiser, if you tell it some do-gooder will likely rat you out.
Who would enforce that? Local law enforcement aren’t vehicle emissions cops. I wouldn’t chip my Cummins because everyone I know who has done that has had issues with burnt pistons and other engine failures. But hey, go for it if you want to.

So everyone you know who has done it has had burnt pistons and other engine failures. Come on now. Everyone? If it caused that many problems word would be out and no one would do it.

Guys order “glider kits” (new truck chassis with no engine or transmission) and install pre-emissions drivetrain in it.
If a tractor, I’d buy the lowest hour, pre emissions tractor I could and restore it and still be way ahead on money.
Which is what I’ve actually done.

I just bought a nice pre emissions skid steer. If I found a cab machine with tracks as clean as that I’d probably buy it too.

Your truck is pre-emissions
You sure??? My 97 F350 turbo diesel came with a soot trap from the factory which I took off and replaced with a turbo back Gale Banks system as well as his engine and transmission chips. My truck also had an crankcase breather vented into the turbo intake which I got rid of and installed a road draft tube. Have a little sticker on the front rad support that lists his mods and states they are EPA compliant.

Yes, there has been some emissions on vehicles since the 1970s, but the more advanced emissions on diesels started around 2008 (I know because my 07 was the last year for the 5.9 Cummins, after which they came out with the 6.7 which had significantly more emissions equipment).

Even both of my Tier 4 interem Kubotas have some 'emissions' stuff on them, mainly a visible particulate limiter that wastegates the turbo as it spools up so it don't overboost the engine and cause it to smoke excessively. it works and has alaways worked. Just a small puff and that is all. No egr or dpf junk at all.
