I get my news online. And i dont think pay to read online will work, because you can go to another free site and still get the news.

No, but I read the top side of the covers on the newspaper stands as I leave the grocery store. I do not touch them however :thumbsup:

Our little town has a weekly paper, it comes out once a week. It's been like that for about 60 years. Most all the retail stores in town sell it.
I have seen people stand in the isle beside the cash register at the gas station and read the paper front to back, fold it up haphazardly, put it back on the news stand and walk out. Never buying a thing.

I stop at the nspaper stand and scan the top half of the front page, but I would never take it out of the stand and certainly not unfold it. That is the same as stealing because they can’t sell it at that point.

That is what the cashier and most others think but the cops shrug their shoulders and ask "what's he steeling?"

Our small town has a weekly paper. I got it delivered for a few years - then they went to being on the internet. I get it that way now. I don't have to go two miles to get the paper. Driveway is a mile long.

Cancelled my suscription and the newspaper has been delivered the last two days now.

I feel like I'm dealing with a government agency here.

May end up buying my dad a laptop for Christmas just for news.

There's a lot of things that I miss from the old days but the newspapers not one of them. Actually, I dont really watch or listen to the news much at all anymore and don't miss it, I can find out pretty much everything I need to know just from listening to you guys.:laughing:

I also get much of my news on here and a similar site. I find that most big news stories are covered on here and generally, there is someone who knows the details of the story, the area, or the industry.
