I've got three year old ethanol free gas, with some Stabil added, in fuel cans in the barn right now. It runs fine. Also some in a collector tractor, some in my high dollar pressure washer and some in gas chain saws and assorted maintenance tools. All of them have been started this year and zero problems.

When I used ethanol gas, 10% and with Stabile added, I ruined a generator, ruined a Mantis tiller, some maintenance tools and had the rubber rot some rubber fuel lines on older equipment. Very expensive and troublesome.

I don't care what the philosophical explanation is and only care that ethanol fuel ruins my equipment and costs me money and ethanol free gas does not. :)
Ethanol is Poison for our small engines.

There's some out there, for example the EGo 80V batteries fit in the Kobalt 80V tools, but it's not a guarantee.
All EGo batteries are 56v and none work in anything but EGo.

IIRC Greenworks also sells their designs as OEMs. Suspect 80V Kobalt and Bad Boy buy from Greenworks. Also B&S 82V.

Yes it is. Below is where you can buy ethanol-free "pure" gas in your state and area. Works for me.

Above is a map with arrows to the right places

Above you have to fool with it but will give you the alphabetical listing of stations in your area. You can't "save" the end result so maybe use a combination of the two areas (same site) for location.

Looks we have one in the in a 60 mile radius… 100 octane to 114 octane…

Not sure running high octane would in my mowers and saws is a good thing?

Not for engines of recent manufacture. Any manufacturer who isn't using ethanol-safe materials the past 30 years is negligent.

The "ethanol problem" with small engines has to do with unvented fuel systems which fail to keep moist air away from ethanol. It is this moisture which causes the problems attributed to ethanol. No additive can change that.

That is race gas. Just wait until you find it costs $12/gallon.

My guess too… otherwise nothing anywhere close.

Bought several mostly Honda powered items circa 1990 and zero issues until ethanol introduced…

Honda Generator, Roto-Tiller, Power Washer, Chipper plus chainsaw… ongoing fuel problems plus Champion Generator…

My two newer Honda powered no issues yet.

Sorry, meant Greenworks, a sibling has eGo tools and we were discussing it then other day.

Mine do fine. Small engines, old engines, old tractors, etc. No probs. I believe the small engines run better on higher octane.

Stop it.
$4-something here today.
For 100 AKI E0? Amazing. Pictures or it didn't happen.

93 AKI E0 is $4.199 at Buc-ees here. 87 E0 is $4.599 at a Shell station where E10 is $3.599.

100 AKI is E85 around here.

You’ll have to forgive him. He’s a bit “anti-gas”.
Who? Not me, you don't really understand what I say. When I posted I had just returned from purchasing 5 gallons of 93 E0 for the dirtbike. I know of what I speak.

Street legal E0 with 100 AKI (R+M)/2 rating? Pictures or it didn't happen.

I love my Ryobi 18V power tools for work around the garage and for light projects. Purchased the 18V blower and weed wacker as well as a 48V 52" Zero Turn riding Mower.

The blower is weak, so we pretty much just use it to blow dust off of the porch and out of the garage.

The weed wacker caught on fire and melted into a glob before I saw the smoke and pulled the battery.

The mower was used for a summer and a half and now sits in my garage like a $6,000 reminder to NEVER EVER buy an electric mower again. It doesn't have a mowing range anywhere near what is advertised, shuts off when hot (I live in Arizona so that is pretty much the entire summer lawn season), and it takes quite a few hours to recharge before you can get out and try to finish a simple yard. Its for sale if you like a challenge ;)

I went and purchased a new Husqvarna 52" zero turn gas mower and have been smiling ever since. I'm now pimping it out with LED lights on all 4 sides so I can mow right through the night if I want to.

I tried the electric thing.......its basically a pet rock fad until the batteries get a lot stronger and more durable.

**** I do have a 12" 18V Ryobi saw which burns through batteries FAST but cuts Mesquite wood a lot better than expected*** If it wasn't for the saw and the hand tools, I'd scrap Ryobi and move on to a new line. Get good gas equipment for outside work and be happy.

When something new isn’t as advertised it goes back…

Not always easy but I have filed legal action and then it was how can we make this right?

I jumped in on the electric blower, chainsaw and weed wacker eagerly, thinking they would replace the Stihl gas pieces I previously run.
Fast forward to today and I am once again back to my Stihl gas blower, Stihl gas weed walkers and never really left my Stihl & makita gas chainsaws.
The electric tools are all 60V DeWalt. Nothing wrong with them. They all work fine, but after running both in a commercial business for 2+ years, I really only use the electric weed wacker periodically for light jobs I know will be done in under 15 minutes.

Not disappointed, just have found gas revs higher & keeps running when far away from the truck for hours on a full tank. Gas chainsaws are screamers and will cut circles around the electric. Electric only really good for quick 10 minute pruning jobs. Gas blower just keeps on running & running.

Anyone else try electric, go back to gas?

I have 47 acres and I use mostly gas chainsaws, all electric weed wacker (nothing to actually mow/cut really), and all electric blower. My gas weed wacker and blower are long gone. The other consideration for me is performance at altitude. I am at almost 9000 ft and battery could care less. Gas is always a challenge.

Chainsaws: If you ever win a giveaway for the Ryobi 40v chainsaw give it a try. It uses 3/8 chain and really is a screamer. I was impressed. The Stihl battery saw I have is a 1/4p thin kerf 12 inch bar and it sucks for anything other that light limbing. The milwaukee M18 battery saw I had was ok but the oiler always leaked everywhere (even after I cleaned sawdust out)...its in the trash now. However, absolutely no substitute for gas saws I agree. Gas is still king if you are felling anything bigger than 6 in or need to run longer than 30 min in my opinion.
My standard carb saws have to be adjusted when I go from 8600ft to 9000ft which all happens on my property and its a pain. The Stihl 500i with EFI is just about as good as it gets at my altitude. Starts and runs great and no adjustments needed.

Weed wacker: residental mine was great...never an issue. Always hated tinkering wiith gas weed wackers (fuel mix, change fuel filter/clean carb every few years...change pull string here and there)...Plus they cant easily be used by my wife. For larger property stuff gas makes sense...for everyone in the city/suburbs I see no reason not to change to battery. More than enough power.

Blower: same as weed wacker for me. I see no reason to need a gas blower unless you are commercial or larger property owner.

What happened to the male drive to have maximum power in everything they do.

We are getting soft.

How much for an electric mower?
