Anyone have a 17 super duty?

No, my 6.4 was stock. This one will remain that way as well. It's that **** conscience that keeps me from breaking federal laws...

Even if deleting the system wasn't against federal law, the possibility of losing your warranty is enough incentive to leave the pollution controls alone. A regeneration is much less noticeable now compared to your 6.4.

Agreed. Even though I don't think I have had a regen on my '17 yet, I don't expect it to be as noticeable as it was on the 6.4. They've even taken the notification out, so you don't see anything at all to tell you that a regen is in progress with the '17s (other than the drop in MPG if you are watching that screen).

I reset my trip odometer whenever I have a regen so I know about when to expect the next one. I usually go around 400 miles between regens and they last about 16 miles. I can usually catch the "cleaning exhaust filter" message but it's only there for maybe 5 seconds. I wish they would program a chime along with the message to let you know when one starts. If they've eliminated that on the '17's they're just trying to make it as invisible as possible.

Yeah, I think their goal is to make it as hidden as possible. With my 6.4L, I would normally go about 300 +/- miles between regens, and they would last around 20 miles. Hopefully the '17 is an improvement.

Did I forget to post a pic of my truck? I thought I did? At any rate, here she is at the dealer. I haven't had time to get good pics at home yet.

And a pic of the odo with only 9.2 miles.

Hopefully in two weeks I can get some pics with the fifth wheel hooked behind it!

Nice truck. One question. How do you haul a sheet of plywood?

I haul plywood in my shortbed Super Duty that also has a fuel tank in the bed. Leave the tailgate down.

P.S. Should have measured before posting. I have 7' 8" of horizontal space with the tailgate down.

Thanks!

Well, I don't haul plywood very often (and haven't in this truck yet, but have in my other truck with the same bed length), but when I do, if it is just one or two sheets, I just prop the back up on the tailgate. If I haul a lot, I just leave the tailgate down and strap the plywood down.
