Cummins working with Nissan to produce a 1/2 ton diesel pickup is a desperate move? How so?
I tend to notice lots of commercials for vehicles, not just Nissan XD's. All the Chevy commercials showing the holes in the aluminum bed or all the awards they win. Ford commercials touting the best selling truck and new aluminum bodies super duty. Heck I've even noticed quite a few of the mercedes commercial van commercials lately.
I think it's a great move and hopefully leads to more engine options from other manufacturers such as Toyota as they make some really neat little diesels that are sold in other parts of the world that I'd love to see here. I was really disappointed when Mahindra decided not to produce sell a basic pickup here in the USA.
