Anyone Have A Power Trac With A Snow Blower?

mossroads, I have the pt snowblower and the blade. their snowblower is big and bulky. I prefer the blade over their snowthower. every time I try to hook up the quick attach plate it took a lot of tries to get it attached. I have to have it on perfectly level area to attach it. I think when they welded it on they may have not done it correctly because I have no issues attaching my other implements. my wife wont even use it. also when I used the snowthower on wet heavy snow, it would always clog it up even though I would spray Pam down the shute beforehand. on light fluffy snow it would work ok but in order to throw if far you really have to rev up the pto to get it to throw any real distance. so for the most part I use the blade to push it and use the bucket to move the snowbanks back. when I cant move the banks anymore than i'll put the blower on to eat away at the banks and throw it farther into the property. if I had to do it over I would probably buy another brand of snowthower and buy an attachment plate and find someone to weld it on for me.

Thanks for the info!

I always run my PT at full throttle whenever I have a powered implement on it. I think that's the way the implements are supposed to work. Kind of like my old IH2500b had the PTO rpm mark on the tachometer. And the operator's manual for that specifically stated to run that tractor (50hp HST tractor/loader) at PTO rpm whenever operating it. So I transferred that habit to the Power Trac.

I have always been told to run hydrostatic tractors at near full RPM's. They said it had to do with cooling etc.

For hydraulic implements like mowers, blowers, etc., they are designed to work at the rated RPM. Going slower often means they will not work well.

Count me in, too. Wide, open throttle for powered implements.

All the best,

I have a Montgomery Ward POWER TRAC GARDEN TRACTOR with a snow blower attachment, the only attachment that came with it. Here is the link to the video:

I restore small engine equipment of all kind full time out of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (part of Toronto). I was wondering what this could be worth if restored?
