Anyone Have A Power Trac With A Snow Blower?

in desperation one year I used the stump grinder to try and break up ice....it worked but it was so slow doing it that I decided might as well for the thaw to show up.......I'm pretty sure many have used the accessories in ways that power trac never intended........haha

Who me? Never!

I think the operative phrase is "fit for intended use".
PT's habit of overbuilding makes tools tolerant of lots of uses not listed in the manual. Oh, yeah, there's no manual for that...

All the best,

Peter

lol....there is one modification I am making after this winters plowing experiences........I'm adding a thick padded foam wrap around the steering post. When the plow hits a solid bank of frozen snow the jolt sends me forward and my knee connects with the post.........after doing this twice I have learned that in a collision between knee cap and steel.....knee cap loses every time!

That's why pickup truck plows have springs! I've done it a few times on my PT and OUCH that's quite a jolt. Worried about breaking something sometimes.

My neighbors would appreciate it also.....as apparently the string of obscenities that flow from my lips carries quite far in the cool crisp air after a new fallen snow!

I cracked my steering ram mount by running full tilt, down hill into a, mostly, buried pipe. The impact didn't bother me until i stopped moving by running into that nice strong metal plate.:confused2: Fortunately my legs were mostly numb from the cold.... Man i had that snow flying thru the air, shooting way off the side of the road, up until that dang pipe.

We had a brief thaw here that turned covered all of the driveways in ice. The neighbor's car got stuck in the ditch alongside their driveway. AAA came and could not get her out. They gave up when their winch truck kept sliding, said it was too dangerous. I came over with my PT and some rope and pulleys. Her car came out quite easily when I pulled on the rope with the PT.

I typically buy very used truck plows and add an attachment plate. The springs are definitely a plus. My current V-plow does go overboard though. As I drive down the road with the plow lifted up, it bobs around on the springs. A V-plow bobble head!!!
