Follow Up for those who care.
I was able to get these from home hardware here in Ontario Canada. I had to call several different store as they were listed on their website(Home Hardware - Barn Door Snugger Kit, with Chain) but didn't have any in stock.

By the looks of the boxes it seems as though they have been on the shelf for a while....I bought the 2 boxes they had!

I have a few sliding doors on some of the bigger sheds. Some have a bolt attached to the door that goes into a hole in the floor. I have some gates that are kept closed that way too. Others have a simple half inch rod attached to the door jamb and bent towards the end so that it fits into a hole in the frame of the door and prevents it sliding. Man doors built into these sliding doors are lockable so that the sliding door is secured from the inside then locked on leaving through the man door. Other sliding doors that have no man door have to be hooked up too and are then prevented from being opened from outside (if some nefarious person decides to lift the hook) by a safety pin type clip inserted through a small hole drilled in the part of the rod that fits through the hole on the door framework.

I have some barn door snuggers on our Morton barn on the back property. Mine are slightly different. The snugger is affixed to the door jam and has a rod with a hook that grabs the door. The snugger then cams over and pulls the rod/door inward, snugging it against the door opening. I'll have to take a picture when I gat a chance.
