Does any manufacture make a real ground engaging gasoline power garden tractor anymore? I see the old John Deere's all the time that could actually pull a small plow and other small scale implements. I can't seem to find a "real" one anymore.

Gravely used to be a contender, but they've moved to strictly mowers in recent decades.
I think the popularity of SCUTs have pretty much done away with gasoline-powered, ground-engaging, garden tractors. In a way it's better because implements are more standardized now and not as manufacturer specific.

JD still makes them but they will cost you nearly as much as a SCUT.

Nothing is real anymore. Computers and lots of plastic. Tractors with wheels meant for a shopping cart.

I saw in a railroad book of the fifties, they had little tractors that looked EXACTLY like a Massey Harris 33 or similar Ag tractor, with Ag wheels but garden tractor size to pull luggage wagons. I never found out what they were all about. I have never seen one in real life.

No farmer has a use for a small tractor any more

I wouldn't say that. Often the smaller machine, more for use around the house is expensed though the farm. As is the ZT and UTV.

There are still some being made but just like many cars for us here in the northeast the rust will get you from the condensation. With all the safety switches being the first to let you down! As stated in a prior post it is cheaper to buy a scut for the options then a garden tractor for many.

I don't think I've ever seen "a real ground engaging gasoline power garden tractor" unless you are talking about a something like a Ford 8N. Why would you want a gas engine in any tractor? Lots of nice little SCUTs out there. Check out the little Massey GC1700 series

I Googled 1950s Railroad luggage tractor. Man, there are images upon images of really neat small tractors that I have never seen, choosing "Images".

Its a real thing. They operate tillers, small plows, little scrapers, and so on. Some I have seen even have a 3 point hitch on the back. They run off like a 25 HP two cylinder gas engine. Nothing serious, just for a dude on property making a large garden or maintaining his driveway. I am new to all this tractor stuff. What is a SCUT? I imagine its the little 3 cylinder diesel tractors that have the mowing deck underneath and are maybe 1.5 times the size of a large lawn tractor?

Even my Gravely two wheel tractor SMELLED of old school technology and weight. Heavy castings. NOTHING built with the idea of building it as CHEAP as possible! We will build it and if you want it, you can pay the price it costs. Not this "Throw away" stuff.

Another reason I bought my JDX740 diesel with 3 point with 7 Iron 60 inch deck back in 2011.Not cheap but should last me the rest of my old farts life.

Well, if the OP wants a real GT,, the best way to get one,, is to rebuild an old GT exactly as you want it.
If you just want to spend $$$$,, buy a restored GT,,

Here is my restored GT,, ready to shell corn,,

My decision a few weeks ago came down to a SCUT and an X7xx series as 85% of my hours will be mowing and plowing the driveway. They are very nice tractors and the 4wd ones climb hills like a Billy goat. Ended up going with a SCUT but it was close.

I love having a tool for every job.

I love that old iron, especially when restored so nicly. All metal, non of this plastic garbage.

When I used my two wheel Gravely, with it's single cylinder cast iron Wisconsin (?) the neighbor always thought a helicopter was coming with the deep down thump, thump, thump!
