Recently I needed to buy a second stage propane regulator so I go to my propane supplier and the nice girl at the counter shows them to me. She must have mentioned 90 degree vs straight through at least 4-5 times. I reassured her I wanted the straight through.

I bought it and took it home. A few days later (today) I go to install it and yup... I need the 90 degree model. I hop in truck and drive by the location where my wife is cutting cedar saplings in a fence row and tell here where I am going. I pull out on th highway and notice I forgot to bring the unit I'm returning.

Turn around and drive to house, get unit, drive by wife (again) and was pleased to note she didn't look up and wonder what the senile old codger was up to now...

Installed it leak free and now wonder why it is taking so long to get the pilot to light. Sure, have to displace the air from the lines but only a total of 2-3 feet. Pilot finally lit but flame is too small to allow pilot to stay lit if I turn lose of the depressed pilot off on knob.

One day my brother decided to gather up all of my hammers and tape measures, Final count 10 hammers and 9 tape measures.:laughing:I one time found a set of keys to a car I sold over 20 something years ago.

Generally speaking I have a pretty good memory (except for names & almost anything my wife asks me to remember  ) but last week coming out of Lowe's I couldn't find my keys. They were still in the switch with the engine running . MikeD74t

My story from "Yesterday" coming home I came in front door & dog wanted to go play in the NEW snow. so woman met me at the door took lunch box and mail, said she would meet me at the back door with the dog... So I grab my gloves back out of my pockets figuring on shoveling snow while he plays out back. huh only ONE glove; just put both of them in my coat pocket I KNOW as they were in the car console. look more check both pockets nope only one??? Sure must have fallen out between house & car. err nope must have left it in the car (get out keys & get in car & look for it.) nope not in car... hummm must have handed it to woman with lunch box. nope not there ok maybe the DOG grabbed it out of my pocket... (walking around w 1 glove on attempting to keep people from seeing me & asking if I'm impersonating Michael Jackson.) looking in coat pocket continues at each stop... no luck. finally open garage get shovel and start shoveling snow. got done and was out back pulled garage door open again and put keys back in pocket, pulled out hand and glove I been looking for after all done and getting ready to go in...

I know I have two steel squares (framing squares) and I have looked for both and will wind up buying another as they are missing, actually this last post reminded me that I need to buy one, go figure, lol.

Dont you especially hate the &^%$ that says....keep looking, there always in the last spot you can think of..."

Of course their in the last spot. why would you continue searching for them after you found them burrrrr:mad:
The one that gets to my wife is when she says she can't find her glasses and I tell her to put them on and look for them .

 That was a good one!

The saying that really annoys me when I'm looking for something is somebody saying "where did you last have it ?".

Well if I knew that I wouldn't be bloody looking for it would I!?
