Anyone use BKT tires?

Found a pair of BKT tires for tractor, don't know where they're made? India China may be possible. Anyone know them?

China. Great pricing; questionable quality. Sound familiar? Absolutely do not mount them tubeless. May be a viable option for low-use machines or low budget owners. Not everyone can afford Michelins.

Take a look at Carisle farm tires. They are very good quality and I believe they are American Made in Georgia. I put the Farm Specalist HA on my Case and Couldn't be harrier with the look and quality. The 6ply rating that they were was more like a 8 ply compared to other 6 ply tires I've seen. Goodyear Duratorques are another good quality fairly priced tire.

BKT tires are made in India by the largest tire manufacturer in the country, are relatively high quality, and I have them on one of my tractors with excellent results. And one third less than others I could get in the size I needed.
I would not buy a Chinese tire... and I would buy another BKT without hesitation

I bought a set for the front of the David Brown. It's two wheel drive. I only use this tractor to rake hay and sometimes run a box blade, but its driven on the road between farms on the blacktop. They are holding up well.

I agree with the sentiment on Chinese tires. Don't know anything about BKT.

I have them on my JD and find them to be the best tire on the tractor. I've had the Good Years and the Firestones but these seem to have more rubber compound in them because they have not shown a single stress crack. They are made in India and I guess in order to withstand that environment, they need to put more stuff in their compounds to take the brutal sun and heat of that environment. Very good tractive tires for the money.

There are a lot of BKT around here even on relativeley new 300hp+ tractors and they seem very good . Any carlisle we have bought in the last few years have been terrible rubbish and firestones have cracked too

On the smallest scale, put same size R1 ag tires on the back of a garden tractor, and compare the BKT
and the traditional Carlisle that's been around forever. I think the BKT looks heftier.

I could only speculate about Chinese engineering and design vs Indian, but the BKT seems to be positioned between the Chinese and the top line aka expensive tires.
The mold quality on mine is excellent, no dents or extra rubber in places. And after two years use, granted not hard use, boy am I pleased with them. They still look like new.
I had an unusual size requirement that most companies could not meet, BKT did, and for about thirty percent less.

India is quite an ally to the US. I'll buy their tires. And as for the Chinese, I am stuck buying their products almost everywhere whether I like it or not, so in this market, where I actually have a good alternative, I'll avoid the Chinese brands. Let them sell their tires to the Vietnamese.

I think Carlisle is having real problems, including issues with mfg and supply. The dealers' comments I have heard has not been kind towards
Carlisle of late.

We have replaced all four tires on the loader tractor where I work. It sees a lot of time on concrete and they are holding up much better than the firestones that it came with. So far very pleased with them.

Priced a set for a tractor, the salesman said that deere is putting them on at the factory on the smaller lower budget tractors now.

I got a quote from a tire reseller that will come to my farm and put them on my old MF135 for 500 per rear tire, all inclusive (tire, tube, install, travel, etc). 100 of that was for traveling an hour each way to my place.

The tire size they quoted me for was BKT 14.9x24 8 ply, this is the R-1 tire with 8 ply and rated at 1800lbs.

This sounded reasonable to me, after getting a few quotes, does that sound reasonable to yall?

The break down was $387/tire $40/tube/tire $40/dismount and mount/tire plus $100 for travel, plus $80 for tax. Totals to around $1,100.00

I could find them on ebay for about $379/tire, then $100/tire delivery, and then I would have to pay for the rest of the stuff...

Buy these in a heart beat. My quote for 9.5x24 BKT's was for breaking down old tires, refilling new tires with my old calcium and then me taking the tires back to put them on the tractor was $978. I did it all myself for $600 but that includes all the tools I had to buy and the pump for refilling and the Chassis Guard rust preventative I coated the rims with. These tires are also 8 ply and are the best gripping ags I've had on the tractor.
