Politics aside I saw a comment on the S&W 15-22 Yeah they feel like toys as they are plastic for the most part. But I have 2 of them. One of each gen. I like them both. They are reliable and make great cheap to run practice guns.

I have 2 from when they first came out and both of mine jam constantly and are useless. I sent one back, SW fired a round, sent it back to me with the spent brass and said it works fine. Well... No crap. It always fires the first round, maybe even 3 or 4. So I gave up, and hated them, and left them as safe-queens.

When I wrote about enjoying .22LR, I was referring to my Rugers...and not an AR pattern .22.
Got a co-worker with a S&W M&P 15-22 shoots great (his words...I've never shot it or even held it)

You know how it is, Mark. All past Presidents were bad, and each new one is tantamount to the second coming. Only the talk goes anywhere while we're watching form our desks. Gun threads go for pages without a round being fired. History changes by evolution, not by revolution.

Not to side-track, but having cleaned and inspected my new AR bores I find the AR Stoner 350 has a a rather impressive finish, button-rifled and done right. For twice the $$, I wish the .25-45's wasn't the worst I've seen (I call broached vs cut or buttoned rifling.. based on a dozen years + of each inspecting bores with the Hawkeye Borescope and in industry sharpening broaches used to machine automotive engines and components)

Post #218, saved me a lot of typing. Just edit out the pink Wife camo, and add my name to the thoughts. Bolts guns were here before Gene Stoner was born. btw, all of mine work just fine, and w/o high cap magazines.

What are you shooting? I have a marlin semi-auto that absolutely HATES Federal ammo and will jam within first five rounds-clean, dirty doesn't matter. Eats CCI like an addict on crack!

I've ran a bunch of different 22LR ammo in them and never found anything that they liked. They are around 10 years old, I bet I have not touched one in at least 5 years.
