I do understand the rules. But with the enemy at the gates, should we be still be thinking of having fun? There are many deadly serious issues facing americans!

Us Americans are fine. Thank You.

I'm sure that's what the Germans said under ****** too. You don't get it. Slowly and methodically, they WILL come for your guns. And there won't be any ARs to play with. Are you going to be in a fire fight with agents come to take your weapons. I wouldn't. Talk is cheap. You have to act NOW! I will get off my soap box now and not mention it again.

But plenty of ARs too.

To respond to the OP question.

I used the older designed M16 A1 in Vietnam, other than a slight jam I got one time, not critical, the Weapon did exactly what it was suppose to do, over and over again... my buddy.

I came back stateside and never looked at another gun, didn't want reminders ! In fact, I did a lot of stupid things so maybe it was better I didn't get into guns.

Moved to SoCal, SIL & Daughter, wife and myself went gun shopping, my SIL, a Marine, bought an M16, Military Style, and we had fun shooting , I was hooked !

I bought an AR15 with a few extras, but it was a great rifle and we all got some good time together shooting.

I more recently purchased this one: No Scope

fullsizeoutput_b.jpeg

20" Barrel, and very accurate, I don't hunt but if I did this is the rifle I would use, it drives tacks up to 100 yards on steel sights and with a scope, well I am in the market buying a new scope, but I believe it would go 300 yard with a quarter pattern. (just guessing here)

So what this boils down too is, I purchased my AR-15 because I used on one in years past and it got me through two years in Nam... and it is a really good rifle. Not to mention I had to compete with the SIL !

I toured Windam Weaponry, pretty neat place..

I kind of envy you. I remember when Bushmaster was once considered a top tier rifle and Remington kind of killed that a long time ago.

Windham WAS bushmaster before Remington bought them out, then moved the Manufacturing facility out of Maine to Remington I believe in NY. After that, the rifle went to crap. Remington in their infinate wisdom gave the owner of Bushmaster a 7 year or so no compete clause. After that clause ran out, they opened back up in the same faciltiy in Maine (I believe).

A couple questions,,

What is the shortest barrel length possible on an AR pistol?
I see a LOT of 10.5",,?

Is there a preferred supplier for a AR pistol upper,,
at least a starting point of where to look,,

Thanks for the help!

If you’re married, I hope you don’t complain that your wife buys too many shoes.
