arch building

Dan
Did you make the wood frames, or buy them pre-made? Are they plywood box beams, or similar? and what is the connection detail at the top of the wall and the bottom of the truss? Looks like a solid building.
Where is your location? and what wind loads are expected?
Thanks.

I bought the building from a local company in Bismarck, ND called Eagle Rigid Span Eagle Rigid Span .

They are similar, they are pre-engineered beams or frames using 2x10 and plywood nailed and glued to the 2x lumber. They are extemely strong.

At the top of the wall, they are lag bolted together and then interlocked with plywood and again glued and nailed. At the top of the truss they have a hinge and hinge pin installed (I think it was a 3/4" pin) and then again interlocked with plywood. glue and nails. The leg frames are bolted to the concrete. Very strong and very well built.

I live just outside Bismarck, ND. I don't remember the wind loads but the roof load is listed as: Typical load is 30# live, 10# dead, but the company will engineer to meet higher loads.
