Are most attachments a kit?

While I would generally expect things that are designed to be just bolted together to do so fairly easily, I probably wouldn't have such high expections for something like a KK attachment, since they are not known for the highest quality.

I'm not knocking the items you bought, I have a couple of KK attachments (rake and carryall) and will be buying a couple more in the future, like a post hole digger. It's just that, from what I've seen, I wouldn't expect that much from them.

On the other hand, I bought my John Deere Model 46 backhoe on a pallet and had to assemble it myself. I was impressed with the precision with which that whole unit went together and the way the pieces that had to be bolted to the tractor fit. I mean, they were perfect.

So, I guess it's a "you get what you pay for" type deal for assembling attachments.

I guess I am lucky to find a good dealer who assembles things and tests them before delivery. I have gotten a 60" Woods rotary cutter, Sitrex spreader, 20 foot snowco hay elevator and 8ft back blade from him - they are all ready to go.Clearly they are more money than some of the stuff that TSC sells, but sometimes spending a little more may be worth it. I for one don't know how to weld or cut metal with a plasma cutter ( would love to learn though) so I would be at a disadvantage if attachments didn't fit together properly. -Mike

I've never had to asemble any of my implements. Bush Hog BB, JD cutter (used), Leinbach disk (needed a little fine tuning...5 minutes), generic 2 bottom plow (used....er, found in junk pile).
