Are work lights "customization"?

How much does the lightbar pull? Most I have seen/used use small gauge wires. What is stock alternator output?
The OP provided the Wattage for his light bar. Apply Ohms law from there.

The OP also provided his original and replacement alternator output ratings.

I didn't see the 72 watts, I read it as 72 in led light bar...big difference in watts.

Are lights customization? Well of course!

I added an accessory block bus bar for my front and rear lights. It allows me to expand for a few other accessories pretty easily as needed. I run inline fuses, and I put a fuse between the block and the battery as well 30 amp to start with but it will go up to 60 (I added this after the photos were taken so not visible). Only 25 bucks on amazon.

Those look handy!
I usually trust a good chassis ground for getting juice back to the battery.

It would be interesting to check the amperage and see if the bar is really 72W. The watts and lumens advertised by some sellers are questionable.

I put the LED light bar on one of my variable voltage power supplies (Soronsen)
Set the voltage at about 13V.

This unit only displays up to 5 amps. The needle pegged, but the PS didn't trip out.

seems like 6 amps or so to me.

If I get issues, I'll put the amp clamp on it.

Is "Fu**'in bright a proper metric?
It may be as meaningful as some of the sellers' claims:)

The light cast by LED's is interesting. Been using them for several years and they appear different when viewed from inside the cab vs. from outside the cab.

When inside looking out of the cab, they cast a nice bright light that doesn't seem like it would be very objectionable for someone observing them from a place that appears to be out of the illuminated area.

I've observed LED's while standing way beyond the illuminated area and the light was quite irritating to look towards. The distance from the lights and the angle they're viewed from don't do much to tame them.
