What`s a `tip`. Ah yes there`s lots of Americans on here. As for `taxes, yep there is some, but the ticket price is what you pay, if its too much, walk away. Here in England, `a tip` is some where up the road that belongs to the local council, that you take all your large rubbish [garbage] that you can't get in your wheely bin. Tips now have a posh new name of Recycling Centers, but to everyone they are still called `tips`

My next door neighbor is British (though he's lived in the States since the 70s), he often says that the U.S. and England are 2 countries separated by a common language. By that he means that even though we both speak English, many words/phrases have completely different meanings from one to the other.
