Retired in 2004.
Been playing with all the toys accumulated over the years.
Still does not seem to be enough time to do all that I want to do.

Prokop,
Yes, I agree with you 100%, that's why I still do it. I looked at the website and could not read a darn thing of it, but I saw a pretty fancy mold (looked to be die cast from the runner system?) and some nice looking molded parts.

yes, the english version is not available yet. We did mostly die casting of aluminium, just little bit of zink - some carburators for small bikes and even plastic. Often guys would come with a piece of aluminium and said: Could you make a mold for this?

Eddie, what you said cracked me up about DW. You were thinking water and I was thinking "not so smart" LOL ... these computer savvy guys have it all over us.

The D in my DW is not "dumb" or "ditzy". I have a hard time keeping up with her, and I'm not so sure I am, she probably just lets me think so.

Early fifties and been with same mulitnational pharmaceutical company for 22 years. Currently my responsbilities are as an analytical chemist. I don't focus much on retirement as the mission of discovering new therapies for patients is enough to keep my days enjoyable. There have been other activities that have started to slide in including teaching at local universities, consulting to botanical gardens, and my familiy's future vineyard. In 7 years I could transition to one of these other activities full time.

Just turned 50. I am on "no medications". I have lived in the country all my life and have worked several jobs. Went to Jr. college (no degree), worked as iron worker, packing line operator (proctor & gamble), heavy equipment mechanic, mechanic for gas utility, and presently I am a system controller for same utility, just under a different name. No plans on retiring. My wife has been a teacher for 20 yrs for the same school district she graduated from. Life is good.
