I only brush hog once a year after everything dries up. Then I don't have to worry about it 'till next year. It's a lot easier to cut when dry. Plus, when I cut during the growing season, I had to do it again anyway??
Only problem with doing it when it's all dried up is that it's usually hot. So the cuttings stick to your sweating body and get in the weirdest places...all over. Then there's the dust to deal with too and you look like a raccoon when you're done. hahaha Sure beats doing it several times though.
Slacker, your Howse looks exactly like mine. Is that a six footer too? How do you like yours?
