How do you operate your computer on a cell phone.?

Typically with a USB cable, or by configuring the cell phone to act as a WiFi hot spot. You can also get cell phone data cards for the computer.

We still have a land line and each of us have a cell. The reception is not quite good enough to drop the land line. Our business has a land line but I keep the number forwarded to my cell because I kept missing calls due to being out in the nursery. I even use it 90% of the time for tbn

I have both, cell and land line. I dont use either one much.. But need land line for medical device I have. Cell phone signal is spotty..

I have a LL at the house. A cell phone rigged in with 'hands free' in the 4 wheeler and the company I work for gives me a cell for the big truck also rigged with 'hands free'. I also have a data card for both my laptop (good all over Ontario, no LD charges) and my PC.

I went cell-only about two years ago and haven't missed the LL at all. YMMV.

Land line only, no cell. I have an answering machine, if it's important someone can leave a message. I have no desire to be reachable anytime anywhere (assuming there's even coverage).

Looked at a Craigslist ad yesterday, said at the bottom, "Texts only, don't look at my emails or answer unknown calls."

What a joke. I couldn't contact him. Wouldn't want to, with that attitude. If you ant to sell something,it might just take a tad bit of effort on your part....

I'm with you, that's sad. I don't get texting...I'm sure I could figure out how to do it if I tried, but I have no interest in communicating via 2 letter abbreviations.

This made me think of another question. How many still have hard wired phones. We have a set of 4 cordless Panasonic phones, but they don't work if the electricity goes off. So we still have one hardwired phone and the only time it's been used is to report power outages. We could report them with a cell phone, but it's quicker and simpler if you do it from the phone number they have listed for the address.
