Although you didn't say it, I'm guessing the replacement might be a different color with a different dealer's sticker on it?

I've got no problem with my dealer, they're doing all they can short of fixing it for free...

While I'm personally VERY happy with my NH tractor, if I were in this situation, I think I'd be pretty color blind when it came to replacing/upgrading. I'd probably be apt to look very carefully at different models and brands to see if I could buy something that helped me see the bright side of an otherwise lousy situation. There's nothing quite like being able to say "well, that was a pain, but now that I've got my new (and better) tractor, all is well again."

Man you are in a bad spot. You man change colors and have another problem. Since you really like the Dealer have you considered trying to trade your broken machine and the new parts for a new New Holland the same size or larger. Depending on what tractor you went with you could keep your old loader. You and your Dealer may be able to leverage NH a little more by staying Blue. It could be a tough pill to swallow but you are going to lose either way you go. I have a TC 30/7308 Loader with 113 hours and no problems so far. I don't know what I would do either if this happened to me but I would try to consider all my options and pick the less painful way.
Good Luck. Let us know witch way you go.

Well it looks like I'm going to fix this machine. We've exhausted all other options, and amazingly enough, it'll be cheaper to fix than to trade, thanks to NH parts support. They've sent a bare block, piston rings, and a gasket kit.. I have to pay for labor an all other associated things not covered.

I plan on building a subframe that will link the engine subframe to the loader mounts and then on to the rear axle.. hopefully it helps.

Wife told me that spending twice as much as it would cost to fix our tractor on a new one isn't going to happen.. But she told me she'd rather fix ours, and buy a rotary mower, and still spend less.. I'm fine with it, I love my 33D, it's a great tractor.

Glad to hear that you have reached a resolution with this Chris. I think that this is the best solution also. :)

Great news Kris. Will the dealer, or you, be documenting the rebuild with pictures?

Chris, have they also included a new set of bearing, seeing that these parts will be installed into a new block?

A great conclusion for you Kris! Maybe the dealer will help you out on a discounted labor rate. Let him know about this forum. I hope the TC 33 is running shortly. You can get a few bucks for the old block, with the price scrap dealers are paying for scrap.
I know it will still hurt in the pocket book, especially when you know you did nothing "wrong" to break the machine.

I don't know. I hope to be able to get up there to take pics, but they're a good solid 1/2 hour the opposite direction from my office (making it a 1 hour 1 way drive), so it's not like I can just pop in..

But I hope they take some pics.. I'll even lend them a camera..
