In the UK, haylage is just slightly damper hay, like baled one day earlier.

Actually, to confuse matters worse, they have also come out with a new fangled 'horsehage', which I think is just about the same as haylage.

We have never wrapped small bales... small haylage bales are even heavier than small hay bales, and when they're wrapped, you cant handle them on the ropes... So very unpractical.

There was a guy that ran a Wolagri small round baler/wrapper combination, (bales 70 cm in diameter) that sold the equipment because he could only get customers for 3 bales at a time. when he had to get his cost to travel from field to field back, the price per bale got so high that he couldnt earn a penny with it.

Its a complete PITA to use TBH. Sooo slow and every bale has to be manually loaded.
