ASV scout or Morooka? any one use em?

I looking to move some crushed stone and gravel into some trails in my woods...about 1/2-3/4 mile at the furtherest. Was thinking about just taking a lot of trips with my ASV- not sure how much material I can get in my 72in bucket...

but then I saw the flyer at the ASV dealer that they rent an ASV ST-50 scout with the dump box for $275 a day. Can supposedly carry 1.4 yds or 4000 lbs in the dump box. I've also thought about the Morookas, but the nearest rental shop is 80 miles away...

anyone run one of these Scouts?

Go for a morooka.

It sounds to me like the scout would be the most convenient to rent since you wouldn't have to go as far unless the Marooka is much cheaper and offsets the cost of fuel back and forth. I have not run one but I did see a guy with a salt spreader on one last winter.

Komatsu makes a similar unit to the Morooka.

Does your ASV have a tow hitch mount on it ? You could hire or buy a tandem tipping trailer and use the Posi to tow it . The only thing being , you would need to unhook it to load . Ive seen them pretty cheap new , it would'nt take long to pay for itself and you would probably have plenty of other things to do with it .

I have this bucket and it's HUGE. Designed for light loads like turkey feathers that's why the size, but I just use in on my Cat and filled it with as much gravel as it could hold and spread it accordingly.

Look at how tall the bucket is..

Now since getting it I've found many uses for it. It's great at garbage runs, and I can fit 6 15 gallon trees in it, also good as a high working platform, it's darn near like a small pick up bead.
