I understand how you connected the two machines
I am wanting to weld a lot of 1/2in plate. I could stick weld it, but shakey hands gives me problems. I can control a mig gun much better than a long rod. I know I can buy a .045 roller for my 175 mig, I currently run .035, and I could turn the heat up on my stick welder to 250amp if I needed to. I expect I would have to do a little fignigeling figureing out the right settings. Not sure what kind of voltage my stick would throw at the wire, might be able to do spray transfer. I am thinking if I use the stickwelder set up on tig, I could add a wire from the mig trigger to the tig plug to automaticly turn the stick on/off so the mig gun wouldnt be hot all the time. Lots of things there I am not sure about.
