Attaching wire feed to a stick welder

Is this what your welder looks like? This is mine and if it looks like this it is definitely more than 10 years old. I think lincoln may have some info on their site.

Wait a minute, are you saying that a CC stick welder can run flux wire?????
Yes sir, that picture I posted of the Hobart 21-B weld was made with my 1966 SA-200 Red Face CC only machine. But if you plan on doing code work where T-8 wire is required, you'll need CV.

I know that there are "voltage sensing" wie feeders that claim to be able to run from a cc machine, but not sure how well they work.
Yes the LN-25s are voltage sensing wire feeders. In my opinion that work great! ;)

You know anything about the ln-7? I could get an older one for free, but I don't think it would work.

I also have a 30a spoolgun that I know I could make work with the right adapter, but I don't think I want to use a spoolgun all of the time.

Not really. I have run them before. I'm pretty sure they won't work with the Idealarc CC only machines. The LN-7s, 8s, and 9s, all need to be wired direct to the power source. They are not voltage sensing wire feeder.

I've always heard you can't run Mig on a CC machine. I wanted to see what happens, so I gave it a try. This is .035" Lincoln L-56 wire, with C-25 gas. Ran it on the same 1966 SA-200 Red Face CC only engine drive, with my LN-25.

And you call yourself a welder....

You can use a Lincoln LN-25 or a Miller 12vs both of those are voltage sensing wire feeders and will run on a CC stick or tig machine (really need to keep it in Spray transfer). be hard pressed to find one in good condition for less than 500 though.
