My only problem with EA is that they continue to advertise their merchandise with free shipping, and if there is a "picked up" price, and a delivered price, by definition, shipping is not free.

Thanks for the philosophy/economics lesson though...

Excellent point. Some dealers will not give you a straight answer on that but, the good ones will. If you pay cash or set up your own financing the honest dealers find ways to discount tractors, etc. more than if you use their money to buy your tractor. For instance, when we bought our last F-350 KR in the fall of 2011, Ford was offering 0% for 60 months (may have been 72?) but final deal was far better using our bank and paying a few points and realizing even more savings on the truck.

Old Dominion and the other nationwide freight haulers are in business to make a profit so don't think they give Sweet Tractors or EA free shipping. Try making your own shipping arrangements for a piece of heavy equipment some time and take advantage of "store pickup" price. You will never come out with as good a TOTAL cost as offered by Ken, EA and others.

You have to admit, due to the large volume of shipping that Ken and Ted do, they do get substantial discount
on the shipping. Volume shippers since they help the trucking companies stay in business and keep their trucks full without
the deadheading which does not help the truckers bottom line
