Just want to put my two cents in for those interested.
I have one of the Polaris X2 that we bought about a year ago. It is a 500cc model with fuel injection.
We really like it. I am 6'3" and about 250, my wife rides with me and it has power to spare even going up some pretty good hills on our 20 acres.
Nice storage in the front and the little bed in the back tilts to dump stuff if you want. The rear seat folds up out of the tilt bed and allows the passenger to sit up a bit higher.
With all the snow we had this past winter I was truly amazed how this thing got around in it. It was unstoppable.

My wife has the 500 ho with the carb.What I would like to know is your fuel mileage,do you know what it is ?I was thinking of buying myself a 500,i would imagine the fuel injected would be alot better on gas,than the carb version.

I am sorry I don't really have any idea what kind of mileage I am getting on my X2. I am on it about 3-4 times a week but never for very long. When the gauge shows only a couple bars left on the gauge I put some more gas in it.
My gut feel though is that it is pretty good. I might put gas in it once a month.

When the wifes gauge starts flashin you better shut down,its about to stall I liked the old design better with reserve switch.At least you got a few mile warning,before you pushed it Dont ask how i know.

Like Dave I also have the Artic Cat TRV500 two up machine. I ride it fairly aggressively at times and not so aggressively at others, (When I have a passenger). I'm in the upstate NY region so cold weather riding is not uncommon, (In fact I use it to plow the driveway and some of the property). The only complaint I have ever had with it is that the brake lever was on the left side of the handlebar (where a clutch would be on a motorcycle). This seems to be pretty much standard for ATV's, but I didn't like it so I changed it. The ride is very plush (Especially for the passeger!!) and the 500 has more than enough power. It is an incredibly capable machine and unless you are going to be doing some VERY extreme riding I think you and your wife would be VERY happy with it. That being said though, I don't have much experience with the other two ups so please just take this for what it is worth.

One thing to consider is many trail systems are now starting to enforce the "only one person on an ATV unless built by the manufacturer for two" rule.
There have been many bad accidents when two people on a machine meant for one flip over backwards....
Just something to consider depending on where you ride...it is in fact a state law now in NC.
