Gotta agree with everyone here - makes me wanna come over for a visit - I've been across the big pond a few times in years past ... if we're doing our typing here during the day (when we're suppose to be working - ahem) are you typing in the middle of the night ... yesterday? tomorrow?

Neil, what kind of frogs? Do you eat them? I grew up out in the country and we ate lots of "bullfrog" legs and I love 'em. I'll never forget my only trip to Detroit, MI; ate in a seafood restaurant one night and they had "frog legs" on the menu. I asked the waiter how many frog legs on that dinner and he said he wasn't sure, but thought it was 10 pair. I said, "Ten pair?!!" He said, "Well, I'm not sure, but I can ask the chef." I said, "Never mind, just bring me that!" Sure enough, it was 10 pair; never seen frog legs that small, I was used to chicken drumstick size, but 10 pair made a very good meal, and very tasty. Still don't know what kind of baby frogs they used./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Not sure of the time difference.

London is 10 hours behind us, so going that way you guys must be about 10 hours in front of us.

So it is 8:20am on Friday here now - What is it over there ?

They are plain old green tree frogs. We have them in plague proportions, especially now in the hotter, wetter months. They get in the pool, pipes, conduits, anywhere it is froggy !!

When we have rain, we get ornate burrowing frogs, who come out after being burried in the dirt, they lay their eggs and dissappear, all in one night.

Lay all their eggs in the pool and I scopp dozens of frogs out the next day after the rain.

The day after - none !!

Dang, Neil, that sounds as bad as my fireants. Most of the time, you can't find a fireant in my yard and garden, but when it rains, the next day or two 20 to 30 fire ant mounds will pop up everywhere./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Bloody fire ants have just arrived here (Queensland)

We have a task force of about 500 working on them. Dunno if they will will but they sure are trying.

Neil, once or twice a year, I broadcast an insecticide called "Logic" at the rate of one pound per acre (I buy it in 3# containers for $27.00), then I mix 1 to 2 ounces of Diazinon per gallon of water and after each rain, I pour a gallon on each mound I see. I either kill 'em or keep 'em on the move./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Neil,

Queensland is 14 hour ahead of our Eastern U.S. time. Now where it gets funny is starting this Sunday you will be 15 hours a head of us. We do a day light savings time in the summer and turn our clocks a head one hour.

Mark, Isn't it 'fall' back & 'spring' ahead?

According to the post - you posted at 5:30p.m. Thursday -- so you posted before you actually typed it... nice trick/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
On one of my trips we left Korea - flew to Hawaii - lo-o-ong flight--- were on the ground just long enough to refuel and flew back to Guam to recover a broke plane that diverted to there --- crossed the dateline twice in about 30 hours - talk about jet lag! I think we lost an entire day somewhere and went from like Tues -> Thurs and skipped Wed altogether/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif
