My B26 will move a few inches to a few feet depending on the gear and RPM when you press the HST pedal while not setting in the seat before the safety kicks in and starts to kill the engine. I like it that way rather than engine dying when you raise off the seat for a millisecond. I hate the NH set up that have to put in neutral range to get off the tractor or start. Most of the time I just leave my B26 in H range which is what I use for transport to and from the storage area and just crank and go.
Just recently I discovered that my LS P 7010 would stop the PTO by clutching (deeply depressing the clutch). I had thought that it couldn't be feathered in because clutching to stop would still auto start in manual mode or auto mode but I just wasn't depressing the clutch far enough to disengage it. I don't suppose the HST guys have anything like that although I do see some models of HST that still have a clutch which is a good thing IMO.
WRT the auto feature, I rarely lift up my bush hog (only PTO implement I have)when turning or backing up so the auto feature is not an issue with me.
