I have a drum full of diesel and a hand crank pump. I am now looking for a hose and nozzle. Since I can't crank and hold the nozzle at the same time, I want an automatic nozzle. I am not sure if they will work with the hand crank. Does anyone know?
Fuel is starting to ease back up and I may fill another drum soon. Will regular Power Service be okay for about 5 months of storage? Thanks, JC

We had one at the Fire house to fuel the trucks it would shut off if you didn't crank smoothly or when the tank was full.

I just dump a quart of power service in the 55 gallon drum when it's empty then call the fuel guy to have him come fill it up.
My first fill up was 6/6/2008 and my next fill up was 4-1-2009.
The red off road fuel kept just fine.

I have a manual shut off nozzle as an automatic one is not need with an elect 12 volt pump .
If it was me I'd get a 12 volt pump rather than an automatic nozzle and eliminate the hand pump.
The elect pump has it all over a hand pump and the cost really ain' that much different.

My cost for the hand pump and drum was free. So there is a big price difference. Maybe I could get my 4yr old to pump while I watch the tank. JC
