Several years ago I bought a pair of axles & wheels to store my Kubota 60" mower in a vertical position, from a vendor on this site and I can't remember the name. Can someone help me? I'm not sure if they're still available, but I find it a great way to store the mower.
Thanks,
Barney

Cool! I'll have to see if I have any spare shafts from things laying around to see if I can make my own.

I made a set of axles for the 60" mower for my B2650. I went to Lowes and got a 2 ft piece of 3/4" black iron pipe. Cut it to length, welded caps on the ends of the axle, drilled a 1/2" hole in the caps, welded 1/2" nut over the holes for the bolt to hold on the wheels. After I got the axles where I wanted them, I drilled a hole where the original pins went through the axle. Used the pins to hold the axle in place. Worked out really good. Very stable. I can pressure wash the underneath of the deck standing up on the new axles no problem. I had less than $25.00 in the whole thing.

A lot of us have done this and it's pretty easy once you measure the size of your sleeves for the axles. My only comment is that I have much larger wheels on the set I made for my JD 62D deck and I think that works better. Harbor Freight regularly puts pnuematic 10" wheels/tires on sale for $4 each and they work very well for this. They have a 5/8" axle hole. For my deck, 1/2 inch pipe worked and the ID is very close to 5/8 rod.
