We have most of the first floor wired. Takes a little time to carve a hole in the log, then drill at an angle to get the wire up from the cracks between the logs.

There's a little bit of distance Ken.
Looks like it was worth the problems to get to build. Now if you want a model can go to tinker toy Logs and build.
Understood you to have hauled in several loads of gravel so this picture is rear of house?
Was there much wastage of the logs or any left over. This type of building could almost figure to the log how many to order.

Trying to keep warm while working. It's blowing snow outside. Not too bad inside.

We started drywalling. Friday we had a partial electrical inspection so we could drywall one side. The plans had the basic minimum requirements, and Scott made numerous suggestions along the way, leading to many more outlets, switches, and fixtures. I figured the inspector would be happy, but he carried on and on about not following plans. I told him plans were just minimum guidelines to me, but he said nothing will be approved until I update the plans, showing every single thing I did that varies from the plans. So I'm sending dozens of pictures to the draftsman. 😁

Bo, you have some unreal building inspections/permit folks. I thought my guy was a jerk, but who cares about having each outlet location on the plans? That's just silly and pointless.

Way back at start of this saga. I mentioned to Bo that was asked to install a light in Seligman airport building so those entering the building would not walk into the prop of a airplane parked . The inspection was turned down because did not use a factory offset but bent conduit to handy box.
Not surprised that the inspector required this change after all may be the only job he was to do in past year. This is rural ranch country
