I test drove a couple of tractors today from my local Kubota dealer. He seems to have a very good year going in the compact and subcompact markets. He told me that his first price was his best price.

BX 2200
54" MMM
LA 211 LOADER
BLOCK HEATER
$13,050 + TAX & SHIPPING

B7500 HST
54" MMM
LS 272 LOADER
BLOCK HEATER
$14,750 + TAX & SHIPPING

50 HOUR SERVICE $475 FOR EITHER TRACTOR

What do you think of these prices?

Thanks

I would like to make one suggestion you might get again. I would get the 302 loader on the B7500 than the 272 loader. I got a price for a B7500HST w/ 302 loader for $12,200.00 in June.

Hi,

I agreed to pay $10,500 for a BX2200, with 60 inch MMM and heavy duty alternator and block heater. Thought this was $350 more that I should have paid, but they are in short supply around here.

The dealer told me he got one from another dealer, now at his dealership in a crate.

Zero percent financing drove the sale.

Not sure about what the cost of the loader is. If I were you I would seriously consider the 60 inch MMM. When I bought my B2910 last year my only mistake was going too narrow on the RFM...and that lead to the purchase of this BX2200...and the trade in of my little used RFM.

It is nice to have some mower sticking out so you can easily cut close to things. I think the 60" mmm on the bx also has a self leveling feature that the 54" does not have...

That price for the 50 hour service is crazy. Do it yourself for under $100, if it is anything like what my B2910 cost for oil and filters.

If it were me I would probably go for the B7500 if I were to only have one tractor. Since I have the B2910, the BX2200 is a nice fit to accompany it...

Hi TractorTeen,

What makes the 302 loader better than the 272?

I think the B series tractor has much more to offer than the BX but I have to mow grass between several trees. The BX had a tighter turning radius.

Maybe the dealer will drop off a B series 90 miles north so I can find out for sure /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif!

Hi Mike,

Can you get a MMM for the BX 22?

Does the backhoe and/or loader come off as needed fairly easily?

Thanks

yooperdave,

The 302 is a stronger loader than the 272. I have included some specifications that show that. If you are going to buy a loader I would get the biggest one possible on the tractor. If you do any type of loader work I think you will appreciate the 302. The specifications speak for themselves.

Lift Capacity at Full Height at Bucket Pivot Pin
272 loader - 685 lbs
302 loader - 770 lbs

Lift Capacity at Full Height (Bucket Center)
272 loader - 595 lbs
302 loader - 660 lbs

Breakout Force
272 loader - 1003 lbs
302 loader - 1120 lbs

Raising Time to Full Height without Load
272 loader - 3.1 seconds
302 loader - 2.5 seconds

Here are a couple of out of state dealers that may help with some pricing comparisons. Carver from NC is where I bought my BX1800 and was very pleased with delivery and price. Rammelt has some good prices also advertised on Equipment Trader Online. They don't have a BX2200 with loader advertised currently, but I believe when I was looking it was $12,250 or $12,500 in March.

If your not adverse to shopping out of state, then you may find these even more helpful. I have also heard good things about Emerich here in NY, but wasn't aware of them when I bought mine and don't know if they ship to your area either.

Anyhow, never hurts to see other prices while shopping around, and Carver was good to deal with even with a few isseues I had they took care of them and shipped me replacement parts immediately.

Good luck,

Yooper Dave - Yes, you can get the same MMM for the '22. The loader and backhoe are very easy to get on and off. Typically I take mine off once a week to mow the lawn. I've gotten pretty good at it. Chuck

Yooperdave,
That's very close to what I paid 2 years ago. I got the 60" MMM and also a carryall and 650 pound weight. I don't think I got a great deal, but it was the best local price.

Your 50hr service price is very high. My dealer threw in the service visit (done at my place) for free (labor), I just picked up the parts cost.
