Today I bent and broke off the muffler on my B1750. It is still holding there, but there is a hole in the bottom and generally it is not repairable.

It looks like I can buy new muffler, but how do you get the old one off. I tried one of those bolts - it snapped off just like I expected. They are small and rusted solid, after 20+ years outside I don't think it is possible to get them out.

Worse, they are studs in the manifold, means after I brake them all off, I will have to drill and tap the manifold for new fasteners.

Anybody dealt with exhaust on old(er) Kubota?

Did better than expected, two bottom studs broke off, the two top ones I was able to get off.

Drilled out the broken ones and she is ready for rockn'roll.

Studs anywhere on exhausts is bad, especially with older vehicles.

Well, since you can not wait to hear more and discuss this exciting topic :D , I will tell you the resolution.

I took it off, heated the muffler with a torch - cherry red - bent it back in shape and welded all the cracks up.

Installed and mowed the rest of the pasture. Not a bad way to make money - $80 on ebay and $150 or so from internet tractor parts store.
