Tractor Sizing B2320 bush hog size

I just purchased a landpride rcr1248 for my bx2360. Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet so I cannot give you a review. However, prior to purchasing I spent one morning and called about twenty different places within an hour drive of my house and got prices on LP, Bushog/Rhino, Kodiak/Mahindra, Howse, Big Bee, LMC, and TRI.

At least with the folks I talked to there was anywhere from 100.00 to 500.00 differences in price for the same makes and models from dealer to dealer. For me it made a big difference to price shop. YMMV. Good luck.

Have you thought about buying used? Look on craigslist, there is always equipment to purchase. Just use common sense when buying on the web.

Yea I may buy used if the right deal comes along. Not a lot of 4 footers out there mostly 5. Ill keep looking... the bush hog brand seems to be the toughest. for u all that like pics here's on of a b2320 moved to its new home. The trailer is brand new but its a friends they were nice enough to let me borrow it.

the weight of the deck is typically the problem. A good quality mower in a 54-60" will be too heavy for comfort. A cheap light duty one would probably be just fine.

I've owned many rough cut mowers of various brands, good quality as well as not so good. The last three new ones that I bought have been Woods. Note: The large manufacturers such as Woods, Bush Hog, etc., offer several lines intended for different markets, e.g., so-called light, medium, heavy duty, etc. Obviously, the HD models weigh more, have higher capacity gearboxes, cost more and probably have longer warranties.

I would recommend a relatively light weight unit for use with your tractor. There is no need for a HD model and the added weight will be a disadvantage. You can also probably get by with a relatively low cost unit, e.g., King Cutter, Hawkline, Howse, etc.

I have this cutter for my B2920 and it works well. If I remember correctly, it was only 200 dollars more than the lighter duty model. Seemed like a "no brainer" to get the little more heavy duty model for that price difference.

Cutting only grass the RCR12 probably would be enough cutter, but I cut saplings and small brush with it.

The 2920 could probably pull a 54" cutter, but the 48" seems to be a perfect match.

Haven't broke a shear-pin yet... lol

I have a landpride 1860 i use on my grand l 3540. I wouldn't mount that cutter on my B2320 for any reason what so ever!!! I recommend you buy a landpride light duty 42 or 48.

Just don't use the top link if your cutter is too heavy. Treat it like a "simi-mount". So half the cutter's weight is always on the back tire and the other half on the tractor hitch. Of course you can't pick it up to transport on a highway but thats not what you need to be doing on a B2320 anyhow.......

Went with a hardee brand panther 48" really is a good looking unit. More robust thant the howse. Bush hog was 1500.00 howse 740.00. Coulda maybe went a taste bigger but 60'' would been pushing it for my small tractor. It'll take me long but a little at a time and I have lights to cut at night.
