I realize this is a silly question but does anyone know what makes the B2601 3.7" wider than the B2301 (as listed on the Kubota website)? I'm guessing it's just the larger Ag tires which are optional on the B2601. If so, what is the width of the B2601 with turf tires? Would it be the same as the B2301?

I'm trying to justify buying a B2601 over a BX2380 and I prefer the narrower width.

I sat on all 3 machines today but had forgotten my tape measure.

I really liked the B2601. I probably wouldn't buy a BX anyway as the forward/reverse pedals seemed very uncomfortable.

I'm with you. I'm talking with Barlows about a B2601 with the smaller tire set. I called Kubota and they checked and said that was the only difference they could see that accounted with the wider width of the 2601 over the 2301. So I THINK you can get a B2601 with the smaller ag tire option and get the 45.3 inches width. I'm not sure on the tuffs. My mom's B3030 is spot on at 53.7 with the industrial R4s.

What reasons are you wanting a narrower tractor? For me its to ride over narrow ATV trails in a very overgrown farm. However I would also like to do some very light bushhogging with a 5 foot cutter. Thus I want the extra 2hp in the 2601. Tape measures are sure easy to forget...........

I'm trying to find the smallest package because my primary use is finish mowing and snow plowing. The BX would be great but I don't like the pedals. The B pedals seem a little bit "less bad".

The last generation B2320 was quite a bit smaller than the B2620, and in fact you could get the B2320 in super narrow configuration (for orchards, etc). Seems like that's no longer the case with the 2301/2601.

They still list the B2320 narrow. Online and in their catalog. They say they have no plans to stop listing it. It is pretty popular in latin America for raising veggies. I think it's too narrow for my uses but I've looked close at it. The main diff is on the B2301/2601 is there is no gear option. All hydro now.

It looks like the B2320 is not available in a hydro.

Anyway I measured a B2301 with 33x12.5-15 R3 Turf Tires and it was at least 50 inches wide. A B2601 with the 12-16.5 Industrial R4 tires was narrower at 48" (maybe 48.5"). So I'm pretty sure the only difference between these two tractors is the horsepower.

Yeah that's what I thought. Wonder if that 2 more HP and 7 cubic inches is worth the extra 800 bucks?
