B2630 B3030 Turf tire

I was down at a Kubota dealer today and notice a B2630 with turfs. The rear tires were about a half inch from the inside wheel well. The tires appear to bowl out more than some of the other tires on a B7800 for example.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a solution? Are spacers a possiblsolution? I was wondering if there were turftires out there that were more squared off. These appear to be quite rounded but I like the deep tread they had.

I know what you're talking about. I have 3 pics of turf tires on a B7800 but my dealer told me these are the same for a B3030.

We see that there's not a lot of space between the fender and the tire. I looked with my dealer and if you want to put chains you'll have to use a spacer because there's not enough space between the tire and the interior of the fender (interior side near the transmission, below the seat). And we were not sure there was enough space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender.

I have turf on my B3030 and I saw that there's only 3/16" space between the tire and the fender /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif . I definitively need spacers. I looked at the Kubota reference part number: 70000-60112 on TractorSmart.com. Wow... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif 304.95$. Am I dreaming or what? This is so expensive for small steel plates. I hope this is for a pair. I'll ask my dealer what should I do about this. I don't understand why Kubota is doing this. To buy some extra parts?

I have a new B3030 and there is no space between the turf tires and the fender. The tire rubs against the fender, especially noticeable when in reverse. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow.

There is a spacer kit that will move the wheels farther out another 1.5". I'm still not so sure even thats enough.

I was thinking about going with R4's to avoid this problem. Anyone out there have the B3030 with R4s? What is the clearance from the wheel well?

Kubota brochure: "Widely spaced fenders. By setting rear fenders further apart, we created more space for the operator."

The clearances don't look this tight on the L series or the earlier B models. I'm wondering if this is going to be recall issue.

I asked my dealer for spacers. He'll put them on before delivery. He quoted me 154$ for a pair. That's fine with me.

I don't think going to R4s would be the complete answer. From some comments in this thread, it sounds like the B3030 has a tad less clearance between the tires and fenders than the B2910 has. A tad may be 1/8" but that is still a lot when there is almost nothing to begin with... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Attached is a photo showing how TIGHT ladder chains fit on my B2910. There is maybe 1/4" clearance between the chain and the fender. It works, but I don't like it. If I could get a set of spacers for $154 like Stef, I would do it today. Even if those were US$! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Why don't you see if the dealer will sell you a set at his cost? If you don't get them, another disadvantage is that with the chains on R4s being so close to the fenders, they drag mud up and it scratches/scrapes the paint off... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
