B2920 1/4" 3pt positioning

TripleR, on my BX, no matter what adjustment I made, it flat out never worked like it should. Hated it. On the B, it works as designed, I reckon. Still, it is what it is and it isn't position control.

Why Kubota messed with this system, we'll never know. Does it work? Yeah. Can it work well, if adjusted properly? Yup. Seems to me that darn few are.

My experience has been that even if it works, it will still drift down over time unlike position control which really really is an aggravation.

The new JD1026 which is in the same class as the BX has position control and if I had to choose one now, it would be the JD if it proves to be reliable; doesn't have the exposed HST fan; course neither does the B Series.

I grew up with position control and just prefer it over everything else. We even had a Case on which you could set your height and depth then raise or lower by pushing a button; didn't like that either.

Thanks guys, I think my problem is that the stops are not adjusted properly, because when I do bump the level in either direction the 3 pt or the MMM does not move. So I am going to adjust the up stop first and see if I can get it to work properly.

Thanks again,

Joe

There is a GREAT thread here ....hmmmmm... if we can find it, on adjusting the 1/4" on a B tractor. It was a very good thread and saved a lot of guys hours of frustration. I'll see if I can find it, but I'm no expert on the search feature here.
