Thanks all for the help and great input on this and the other two threads. I ended up buying:

B2920 HSD
LA364 LDR
RCR1548 Cutter
BB1548 Box
FDR1660 Mower
0% - 60 months
Kubota Insurance

I ended up passing on the BH. I really wanted that thing, but mainly due to the $7k cost and the little use I would have for it, I dropped it off the list. There are local rental stores who rent the BX25 and larger BH's if/when I need one.

Thanks again for the help,
Howard

Congrats, it sounds like a nice setup.

Congrats! You'll have a lot of fun. I've got the B2920 as well and it does decently in hilly terrain. One attachment that I find hugely useful is a wood chipper, especially when clearing roads or dealing with brush or cleaning up the woodlot. I use the wallenstein bx42, which is a great match for the tractor and easily handles anything I can fit into it. You may also find a carry-all is useful if you're moving logs or other bulky items that don't fit well in the bucket. To make attaching / detaching easier for the 3pt you can build dolly's for your attachments and it makes the hookup very easy (I do it for the chipper, carry-all and the BackHoe).

One thing to watch on those hills is make SURE you're in 4wd and Low range before going down anything steep, in 2wd only the rear wheels are breaking and you can slide (I went for a very scary ride in the first 2 hours of owning my tractor down a snowy slope and almost into a lake).

Good luck!

Thanks a lot for that bit of info; I did not know that. That may have saved me some pain and suffering. :)

Thanks again for all the great help; the Kubota delivery truck will be here sometime tomorrow.

The same goes for unloading or loading on a rollback or a tilt bed trailer.

Yep, I use 4WD anytime I know four-wheel brakes will be important. That can even be on flat ground if you have a heavy load in the front loader (since it will offload traction from the rear and increase on the fronts). I do have loaded rear tires and strap on a box blade for added ballast to the rear when doing loader work, but any massive weight on the front loader will still affect braking.

Going down a fairly steep hill on wet grass can also bring on a new education.
