I take it that you don't have any problems moving the deck around with the loader until you get your deck stands on. Well, it was -20 degrees here this morning, and I can't think of anywhere on my lot that the tractor would make ruts. My guess is that my tiny brook is even frozen over now. :D :D Thanks for your positive input jcaledon, good to hear that the drive over feature works, and the loaded tires do too.

Several of you have mentioned that you're able to pin up your mmm decks. I've got a b2920 withe the 60" and when I raise the deck, it doesn't get quite high enough for the holes to line up for the pins to get through...even with a little force. Seems like something is blocking it from going any higher. When not mowing, I've just been setting the control dial to "top" and it'll hold there with no real bleed down, but if I could get any more clearance, that would be great. Any advice?

Michaelb3,

When you pin up the MMM the only pins are on the front. The back part of the deck is held up by putting the height adj. in the top position as you mentioned. When I lift my deck and set the height adj. to top and let the deck down it will come down a little in the back as it sets on the height adjust. The front doesn't move because it is pinned. Getting the front pin holes to line up good when the deck is lifted takes some adjusting. I spent some time when I got my tractor setting up the deck. It was not set up from the dealer. I got it to where the height adj. says 3" and the scalp wheels are about 1/4" off the ground and the deck is at 3 1/4" off the ground. If you have the MMM owners/installation manual I believe it gives you and idea of how to setup the deck. I would really like to make something to pin it up in the back instead of having it rest on the height adj. there have been problems disscussed about the height adj. wearing. It is a lot of weight and leverage resting on that little notch and rubbing and bouncing as you drive.

Michael3b,

I had the same problem. Your mower deck is not set up 100% correctly. You will need to make some side to side or front to back adjustments. I would have done it myself, but had the dealer do it instead as the tractor should have been delivered with the deck set up properly from the get go.

Note that I never take the mower deck off with the loader on. This would be too much weight over the mower deck IMO. I have used the loader, however, with the mmm still on. With it locked in its highest position, it is out of the way. Pinning it up is the way to go if you're going to do this. Otherwise, you put too much pressure on the height adjustment mechanism - which could lead to it wearing out prematurely.

What a great machine! It mows really well. The loader is strong, and fast. I can now spread fertilizer and seed over my two acres of hilly lawn without killing myself. All this in a package that is only slightly bigger than my previous garden tractor. I could have gone with a BX which would have sufficed for my purposes, but for only slightly more money, I got a stronger package, folding rops (which is a big deal for me so that I can mow under my trees), transmission rad, three speeds etc. etc. Can you tell that I'm starting to get sick of our Canadian winter, and am longing for spring so that I can get back out there?

thanks for the responses Jeff / jcaledon. the deck is off for the winter, so once it goes back in a few months, I'll get back under there and experiment with the adjustments you mentioned.
