b3030 HSDC 100 hour review. (long)

Overall, I'm quite pleased with this machine. I use this tractor in my business year round. I'm very faithful on P.M. as I work this machine hard. The 3030 has lots of power, good balance, exceptional agility and really is a joy to operate. The tranny is smooth and responsive. High gear is for transportation only. The differential lock and 4WD work well. The brakes are strong as is the emergency brake. The hydraulic system is well designed and strong. The independent PTO is smooth and quiet. The 3-point hitch is strong and fast. Telescoping lower link ends, sway arms and ratchet level save lots of time and labor. Position control is awesome. Power steering is smooth and fast.

The 4 cylinder motor is quiet, powerful and great on fuel. This tractor has great ground clearance and is very easy to service. The 403 front end loader is strong, fast and easy to remove. If you order your 3030, order the remote loader control. It is far superior to the standard joystick.

The factory cab is quiet, well sealed and the heat and AC are very strong. Control levers are well laid out. Stereo is nice. Speakers are ok, not great. Cab lights are strong. Dash is well lit. Door locks are foolproof. Quick tilt wheel is convenient. Cruise control is awesome.

The dislikes on this tractor for me are few. I think a full gauge package should be standard equipment. I wish the rear tread was adjustable and you must be sure your right foot is clear when you disengage the cruise control. I actually caught my right boot heel under the hst pedal when disengaging. This is a danger!

My review of the B3030 HSDC is 4 stars. It's a lightweight powerhouse, well engineered and fun to operate. The factory cab is awesome and I look forward to turning that key every day. You can't go wrong with the B3030.

Great review. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I could give the same review on my B2910. Except you keep mentioning that Cab. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Just ordered a new set of Carharts for next winter. But I'm sure that they will not be as cozy as you will be in that cab. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sounds like my kind of machine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I test drove a cab model awhile back and knew that this would be the machine I upgrade to should I need to upgrade....
I curious about that position control. Does it work well enough that if you were using a bush hog that it would maintain the correct height without the need for constant adjusting or check chains?

Good review.

The position control is great, there is an adjustable slide lock in the lever guide, you set the lock and drop the 3 PH to the same position every time, its great when brush hogging.

Re: b3030 HSDC 100 hour review. (long)

I forgot to mention a very important component, the seat! Im aware lots of people hate kubota seats. The seat on my B7500 was ****, no doubt about it. The 3030 seat is ok once you get it adjusted for yourself, it does take some time & experiamentation.

Re: b3030 HSDC 100 hour review. (long)

That "delux seat" is comfortable and the spring support adjustment and arm rests very nice. But it always feels to me that I'm sliding off the front of the seat. I don't think I'm always going down hill (mental status not included!) and I don't think my backside is particularly unusual. I'm going to loosen the seat mount and see if I can install a wedge to raise the front of the seat a bit. Anyone had this same experience and tried this solution?
